Ali Erdem Ekşioğlu was born in Istanbul 12 August 1998. He is still a student at Zühtüpaşa Primary School (As of February 2011). He started to shoot his first movies almost since he was almost a baby with the effect of his director parents. He won 3rd place award at Istanbul International Children Film Festival IICFF with "Babamın Görevi Tehlike" in 2006. He won first place award at Istanbul International Children Film Festival IICFF with "Sinema Düşleri" in 2007. He has 2 other documentaries named "Dolmabahçe Sarayı" and Topkapı Sarayı His father is Turkish Comercials director Abdullah Ekşioğlu and his mother is Turkish Comercials director Elvin Ekşioğlu. He is currently working on his book "Reklam Arasında Sinema". He is currenty working on couple of new projects for short films and documentaries.
